hey, you

You’re allowed to comment, you know?Or even just “like” once in a while.

I can tell people are walking in but um, nobody’s talking, which kind of makes me wonder if my deodorant stopped working.

I’m just saying.

  1. I have more readers and way fewer commenters than ever. I don’t really get it. Maybe more people reading on mobile devices & rss feeds that are unwieldy for commenting?

  2. Hi, I’m a camp friend of a camp friend, and found your blog through facebook. I’ve enjoyed reading the story of your family. I just adopted my daughter (my partner gave birth) so my story is different, and yet it affects our everyday. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I’ve been commenting and reading but I’m a chatter by nature. I can’t help putting my two cents in. BTW, I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog. You are WAY MORE REFLECTIVE than I am on my blog. I’ve got the pictures going on but can’t quite seem to get the writing part going (which is funny because I consider myself a bit of a writer and talker). Keep it up!

  4. Katherine’s right – for me at least. Now that I’ve switched to a reader, I forget to comment. Of course, I have about 50 more blogs in my reader than I really read… maybe its time to go back to whatever it is I used to do.

  5. Ha! I was just thinking the same thing on my blog. I agree with those above. I think people are skimming on their phones and not taking the time to give feedback, myself included. Was just getting caught up on blog-reading and saw this and had to comment. I read and I love your blog. πŸ™‚ P.S. I sent a friend request to you on fb because I like your style and I saw we had a couple of mutual friends, but I never got a response. I completely understand if you like to keep fb separate and more ‘real life’ but also.. maybe you just forgot. πŸ™‚

    • Hi, Sara, Thanks for commenting. Sorry about the facebook thing. I’m trying to cut it down to just those people I know IRL plus a few that I’ve spent tons of time with via email (folks from my adoption process). It’s nothing personal. I just have too many college kids asking to friend me and I’m putting some boundaries around it. For some reason your blog doesn’t link through with your avatar but I found it and love it. Your little boy is Cuuuuuuuuuuute!

  6. Yeah…I don’t even know if people are reading mine–and I’m baring my soul right now. Not as regular a writer as you are though, so I guess people don’t stop by.

I only recently caught up on weeks of your posts–I struggle to know what to say except that I love your writing!
