January: snow, snow, snow, snow, and poorly behaved car….
February: US Citizenship Complete. Been there, done that, got the tiny US flag to prove it!
March: Kimmy came to visit, and Selam made a new friend for life.
April: Easter fun and a trip to camp, where it was proven once and for all that princesses can do archery.
May: Dance recital, Angel ride and a sad farewell to my beloved cat of 18 years, Riddle.
June: I began a summer of working for a great church in CT. It was beyond delightful to be back in the pulpit for so long. And the church had a summer Sunday School program, which Selam enjoyed.
July: Mom and Dad’s 50th anniversary party with my sister, brother in law and nieces in Boston. Selam got to drive the duck boat! We also got to see the H family in Easton, for a great 4th of July weekend.
August: Time to say goodbye to a wonderful pre-school, a week at Gramma Camp for Selam (conference for me), and then back to CT so we could sit out Irene with my poor dad along for the ride.
September: Kindergarten! Also, a trip to CO for Tiffany and Davis’ wedding.
October: Selam turns five! We had a pinkalicious birthday party in the treehouse! Also, I got to sing in a reunion concert with former members of my a capella group
November: Daisy Girl Scout investiture ceremony and another trip to camp
December: a festival of fun: camp Christmas party, a wedding, the Nutcracker, work Christmas events (two), school sing along concert, and a trip to Chicago for the holidays.
I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog this year. Please keep writing in 2012. Happy New Year to you and Selam.
